Are you a skilled lawyer passionate about shaping the legal landscape of artificial intelligence? At the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH), we are looking for an **AI Legal Researcher** to join our group _Intelligent Systems and Certification of AI_ (headed by DI Dr. Bernhard Nessler).
**Profile**
SCCH is an internationally renowned research institution based in Hagenberg, Upper Austria, with additional offices in Linz (OIC) and Vienna. With a rich history of collaboration with industry leaders and academic institutions, we specialize in advanced software technologies, focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, and deep learning. **You will**
- lead and coordinate research projects with interdisciplinary teams
- co-organize scientific conferences and workshops
- manage workflows, timelines, and documentation to ensure projects stay on schedule and comply with organizational and funding requirements
- develop legal standards and guidelines for AI systems
- analyze the legal implications and ethical considerations related to AI
- provide recommendations for adapting legal frameworks to technological advancements
- publish interdisciplinary research findings in legal journals and present results at conferences
**You are**
- a law graduate (Mag. iur. or equivalent) with a strong academic background, ideally in tech law and/or IP
- highly organized and skilled in project management, enabling you to achieve project objectives and ensure smooth collaboration between stakeholders
- deeply interested in AI technology, machine learning, and deep learning concepts, including large language models and other foundational models
- familiar with legal frameworks and regulations related to AI, data protection, intellectual property, and technology ethics
- an excellent analyst with research skills and the ability to communicate complex legal and technical concepts clearly
- a team player with leadership and strong interdisciplinary communication skills

**Salary**
The minimum gross salary is €3,929 per month (14 times per year) for full-time employment. The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
