Mass spectrometry (MS) has emerged as a core analytical technique in modern life science research. As MS generates huge amounts of data, sophisticated software is required for data analysis. We are offering a position for a highly motivated software engineer with curiosity to work in biological research at the interface between informatics and proteomics.
- In the Proteomics Facility, we are interested in developing new methods to detect and quantify proteins as well as their modifications and interaction partners. Our mission is to use these optimized methods to answer fundamental biological questions in a collaborative setting. Therefore, we are well equipped with recent computational infrastructure and latest high-resolution mass spectrometry instruments._

**Your responsibilities**:

- Implementation of features in our workflow-based data analysis pipeline
- Design, development and testing of new data processing modules
- Assisting users with data processing issues Operating our automated build environment (build server and versioning)
- Support downstream data analysis

**Your qualifications**:

- Experience in object-oriented programming (preferentially C#)
- web backend development (ASP.NET Core)
- scripting languages
- or databases will be preferred
- Previous knowledge in biology or analytical chemistry are an asset
- Self-organized, structured, and reliable working style within a team
- Excellent command of English is required, basic command of German is advantageous.

For this position a yearly salary of € 53.200, - gross (40h/week) is specified. However, we offer a higher salary depending on your experience and qualifications.
