**Role**

Our Body Repair Technicians are invaluable within the Tesla Bodyshop. In this position, you will be part of working in a worldwide team and network in addition to your colleagues at the local centre, and you’ll be in a great position to impact Tesla’s body repair operation development. You will carry out a variety of repairs in a timely and accurate manner, help your team thrive and directly affect the profitability of the Bodyshop and customer satisfaction metrics by using your in depth understanding of collision and body repair.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Collaborating closely with Senior Technicians in their work and through your assistance move towards more complicated tasks as a part of your development.
- Executing high voltage and non-high voltage related repairs and maintenance without supervision, such as wheel swaps, wiper blade replacements, 4 wheel alignment, Drive Unit replacements, basic diagnostics, body adjustments, AC work
- Assembling and tack-welding steel, aluminum frames and other component and parts in preparation for final welding
- Gluing, riveting, and welding structural components being replaced and furthermore setting new structural components on frame jigs
- Lifting and positioning components on an assembly table, using electric crane, jacks, shims etc.
- Verifying position of metal components during assembly, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and rule
- Replacing all parts associated with body repair including body panels, suspension parts, vehicle structure, radiators, airbags and trim
- Removing rough spots from castings, using portable powered grinder and hand file, to fit and assemble parts
- Inspecting vehicles prior to customer delivery and ensuring repair orders are accurately logged in system
- Engaging with service technicians and engineers alike to solve problems and establish best practices
- Operating a variety of hand
- powered and motorized shop tools, as well as calibrating and inspecting equipment on a regular basis
- Supporting other Service Centers on an as-needed basis

**You will have**:

- Education as a Body Repair Technician (“Karosseriebautechniker”)
- Extensive proven experience as a Body Repair Technician in a body shop environment. Prior body repair experience on Tesla vehicles will be considered highly advantageous.
- Excellent welding skills (MIG/TIG) and experience with aluminum and steel welding. I-Car certification a plus, but not a requirement
- Good English skills, both oral and written
- A valid driving licence
