In order to take the next steps in this journey, we are looking for a visionary and dynamic Senior AI Officer (all genders) to lead and coordinate our AI initiatives and drive the integration of AI technologies across all departments of Erste Bank Oesterreich (EBOe). You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, development, and implementation of AI capabilities that align with our business goals and enhance our competitive edge.

**Your Tasks**:

- Create, develop and implement the AI strategy for EBOe, aligning with the business goals and digital transformation initiatives
- Ensure the implementation of AI solutions across the departments of the bank, enhancing operations, customer service, risk management, and other key areas
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and excellence
- Drive effective key stakeholder management with the internal technology and IT departments
- Create and implement an AI governance framework within the EBOe organization
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners including technology providers, fintech startups and academic institutions, to leverage new AI technologies and insights
- Ensure ethical use of AI, compliance with data protection laws and adherence to regulatory standards
- Advocate for and drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making and AI-enabled processes

**Your Background**:

- Advanced degree in STEM with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning
- Substantial experience in a similar role, ideally within the financial services industry or a similarly complex sector
- A track record of working with interdisciplinary teams, strong business
- and leadership acumen
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners
- Familiarity with regulatory and ethical considerations related to AI in banking
- Fluent in German and English
