Digital Design Lead

For many digital design tasks, the ordinary won’t do. That’s especially true for a
**Digital Design Lead **. As such you have to tap into your
**creativity **to
**develop **tailored IC designs for powerful chips. However, being a Lead does not only mean to have a creative nature but also
**technical **and
**communicative skills **. You will be the Da Vinci behind the
**entire lifecycle **of the
**digital design process **and therefore responsible for a broad
**variety of tasks **.

**What You Will Do
- Be responsible for **digital design **(System Verilog / VHDL coding), **simulation **, **synthesis **and **static timing analysis**:

- **Define digital algorithms **and **architecture**:

- **Implement design-for-test concepts**:

- **Closely cooperate **with **analog **and **digital designers **as well as **verification engineers**:

- **Support hardware post-silicon validation **in the lab
- **Work perseveringly **on making things **better **, **faster **, and **more efficient**:

- **Translate design requirements **to an **architecture **and following **implementation **, **maintain development activities **within digital domain throughout a project
- **Lead **digital designers within a project, **provide guidance **and **support **, **drive **the **advancement of methods **and **tool development**:

- **Perform analysis **and **debug **of test results, **refinement **and **documentation **of test cases together with digital verification team (bug-reviews)
- **Execute scripting **and **automation**:

- **Perform design reviews / inspections**:

**Who You Are**

A Design Hero With:

- A **Master’s degree **in **Electrical Engineering **, **Computer Scienc **e **or a c **omparable education**
- **5 years+ **of experience in **Digital Design**:

- Good knowledge of **Verilog **, **VHDL **and **SystemVerilog **(SystemVerilog is preferred)
- Proficient experience in **leading a team of engineers **towards **product development**:

- In-depth experience in simulation of **RTL **and **gate-level **, **synthesis **, **equivalence **checking CDC**:

- Working knowledge of **C/C++ **, **Python **or **Perl **programming languages
- Know-how of **Unix/Linux **environment and **shell programming**:

- The ability to work with **industry standard tools **and **methodologies**:

- Expertise with **embedded processors / firmware development **as a plus
- Familiarity with **ISO26262 Functional Safety **as a plus
- Knowledge of **SysML **is a plus
- **Fluent English skills **. German skills are of advantage
