We are looking for a technical writer in Austria to join our technical communications team.
The team’s purpose is to bring authors and technology together to produce intelligent content that serves the needs of end-users, support staff, and consultants.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with advanced information technologies to document Clarivate’s market-leading software products and solutions.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments- Degree-level education.- Excellent written English.- Experience as a technical writer, or a qualification in technical writing or a related field.- Ability to find, understand, and synthesize technical information from software engineers, business analysts, and others.- Ability to work independently without supervision.
It would be great if you also had...- Experience with DITA or structured authoring.- Experience of Agile development.- Knowledge of XML, CSS, and HTML.- Knowledge of intellectual property.- English to German translation skills.
What will you be doing in this role?- Find out and learn about Clarivate solutions from business analysts, developers, testers, and other writers.- Conduct task analyses on Clarivate products to establish user goals, and the task, reference, and concept information to reach those goals.- Write and edit user, installation, setup, troubleshooting, reference, and best practice content.- Identify issues for release notes; and write/review the supporting documentation.- Review documents for technical accuracy and meaning (technical edit).- Review and proofread documents for readability, spelling, style, and punctuation (copy edit).- Create visual learning materials such as videos and presentations.
Products you will be documenting
You will be writing about software products for intellectual property, and scientific/academic research.
About the Team
We currently have eight writers spread across the globe in Austria, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, India, and Australia.
