**Mission**

It is our mission to enable transparency, accountability as well as the efficient and proper use of funds in the Federation. We provide services to Member Associations especially policies, tools, consulting, training and monitoring. We coordinate the allocation of programs to funding partners and co-ordinate and execute the flow of funds between these funding partners. We manage financial risks of the Federation on an on-going basis, focusing on accountability in the use of resources and sustainability in the federation-wide funding model. We provide information relevant to management and legal bodies for controlling and decision-making. We see our role as an integral part of the Federation and act as financial business advisors while ensuring fiduciary compliance.

In particular, in order to ensure good project management and contract compliance in Institutional Partnership Development grant agreements, SOS Children’s Villages hereby puts in place the required capacity and resource in the field of financial grant management and project controlling such as member associations at all levels have built capacities for financial management of project grants (and also other fund types) in the past.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Manage and monitor all finance-related aspects of SOS Children’s Villages-led or SOS Children’s Villages -co-funded projects, in close collaboration with Institutional Partnership Development, Individual Giving, International Corporate Partnership, Global Emergency Response, Integrity, Compliance and Legal, and the regional offices.
- Manage and monitor the project set-up and maintenance in SOS Children’s Villages Systems so that all contractual or internal requirements also in very specific/unusual project constellations can be fulfilled.
- Support successful Institutional Partnership Development project implementation: design and provide appropriate financial reports; support and advise implementing partners; monitor project expenditures; exchange and share learnings and challenges; support project/grant manager with finance related issues.
- Support International Office Regions/Member Associations in ensuring that all standard Finance and Controlling processes are conducted.
- Provide comprehensive financial and content updates to International Office-International Office Regions and other stakeholders
- Identify, communicate, foresee and evaluate potential risks associated with financing flows and/or direct or indirect activities for its project portfolio. Give recommendations re. mitigation plans.
- Support International Office Finance and Controlling (including Shared Treasury Services) by being an internal key account re. transfer management and accounting (e.g., check of available cash balance).
- Support correct Institutional Partnership Development project closure from financial perspective.
- Coordinate and ensure successful information flow in case of irregularities/issues/challenges.
- Ensure that internal finance processes are followed and no agreements are made that conflict with any already established Finance and Controlling procedures or deadlines. Also make sure that all internal procedures with regards to SOS Children’s Villages systems are adhered to.
- Support preparation of audits (e.g., headquarter audit ECHO, project audits).
- Support the Head of Institutional Partnership Development in reporting SOS Children’s Villages and federation level grant income, reconciling the income in the grant management system “ProDIGI” to that recorded in Member Associations and Children’s Villages.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**
- University Degree in a finance-related field (e.g. Economics, Finance, Business Administration, etc.)
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with grant management or in finance reporting
- Solid project management background and affinity with financial management/data, OR financial background with experience or affinity to project/grant management
- Very good understanding and skills in the field of financial project
