**Financial Controller (M/F/d)**

Stellenbeschreibung
**Scope of Position**:
To promote the success of Expeditors by directing the Company’s financial affairs, within a framework of prudent and effective controls, which enable risk to be assessed and managed through focus on Finances, Operations, People, Customers, Systems, Culture and Compliance in adherence to the company’s policy and procedures.

**Major Tasks & Responsibilities**:
**Finance**:

- Preparation and Review of Departmental P&Ls, quarterly & annual financial statements, and annual budgets.
- Liaise with external advisors on the preparation of statutory financial information, tax computations.
- Oversee the day to day Accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Credit, GL, Capital Expenditure, Payroll, VAT, Treasury, Revenue Recognition and Cost Accounting.
- Prepare timely internal monthly accounts (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflows, and Analysis) for review by the Regional and Global Accounting teams.
- Provide required information/documentation for Internal Control Evaluations and Internal/External Financial Statement Audits.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities and drive initiatives to promote efficient and cost effective operations.
- Participate in decisions regarding financial strategy and business operations execution.
- Provide financial and accounting expertiese and support for the regional business operations management teams (budgets etc.).
- Assist in the preperation and execution of financial policies and procedures

**Compliance**:

- Promote a culture of compliance with Company policies and government regulations,
- Serve as a role model and leader in the demonstration of ethical business practices and conduct.
- Proactively communicate with his/her team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.

Qualifikationen
- Advanced in Microsoft Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to financial persons aswell as non-financial persons at all levels from Operations to Senior Management.
- Proven leadership attitude and skills.
- Experience in compliance and internal controls.
- Fluent in German and English
- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree plus e.g. CPA (or equivalent)
- Proven and strong experience as a Financial Controller / Finance Manager, Assistant Controller or Controller
- 5 + years of Accounting and Finance experience (prefereably in the Global Logistics Industry).
- UGB & preferably US GAAP experience.
- Full spectrum of accounting and finance experience.
- Leading the Accounting Team
- HR Administration
- High level of Austrian tax and regulatory knowledge, knowledge of Slovakian tax and regulations is preffered
