OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Reporting to the Global Industry Development Manager for Workwear, Snowsports and Outdoor, you will be an important member of BOA’s Global Commercial team. You will play a critical role in bridging global market dynamics and BOA´s strategy in the workwear and tactical industries to achieve BOA’s mid-long term market share goals. In this role, you will focus on providing knowledge / insight and foresight across both the B2B and B2C distribution channels. Your market expertise and deep understanding of the different trade/consumer needs will help inform BOA’s commercial and promotional efforts, as well as product solutions, segmentation and pricing, and positioning. You will continuously evaluate our progress / challenges, guiding our plans and recommending adjustments to BOA’s strategy.
- CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain deep market knowledge of the Workwear footwear market in EMEA, USA, Japan and South Korea, with focus on market sizes, opportunities, BOA goals, price/value of BOA, other key technologies in the market, consumer response and feedback.
- Deep understanding of the BOA® Fit System product/solution portfolio
- Use your market knowledge to establish an informed viewpoint as you conduct the annual mid-long-term Opportunity/Gap Analysis to inform strategic planning.
- Monitor market dynamics and progress against plans throughout the year, identifying gaps and influencing adjustments to plans
- Build a collaborative partnership with the BOA Commercial and Product Development team to share information and insights
- Act as the liaison between Product Development, Commercial and Brand Partners to define segment development calendars and product launch timing.
- Educate and enable our Commercial team through design, creation and effective deployment of product launch presentations and product lifecycle details.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial on placement and promotion strategies
- Regularly role model the Core Operating Principles to your team and others
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in product management, product development, product marketing, or technical product sales
- Fluent in German & English (written & spoken)
- Desire to use your mechanical aptitude to build deep understanding of our products
- Knowledge of both strategic and technical product sales processes
- Ability to analyze complex market data sets and draw robust conclusions, balanced effectively against qualitative assessments
- Desire to use your organized project management approach to maintain our fast pace and manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse groups of people across the globe
- DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Authentic interest and passion in assigned segments (workwear & tactical)
- Experience in understanding tender / tender-like business specifications and sales process
- Comfort and experience providing public presentations
- Technical copy writing skills

- For legal reasons, we are obliged to point out the minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement, which is 2036. EUR gross per month. However, our attractive salary packages are based on current market salaries and are therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary, depending on your experience and skills.
