Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Director, Indirect Procurement (M/F/d). This position would ideally be homebased in Vienna, Austria. Additionally, for this role we are offering opportunities for remote work up to and including full remote based from one of the Flex countries in EMEA.

Reporting to the Vice President Indirect Procurement, the Sr. Director Indirect Procurement’s role role involves developing and improving the regional indirect procurement strategy, taking care of negotiations, leading a regional team of procurement experts in the EMEA area, and frequently visiting stakeholders at different Flex sites.

What a typical day looks like:

- You lead a team of eleven experts located in five different countries, supporting all Flex locations in the EMEA area. You ensure your team has all the resources to operate effectively and provide them support when needed. Additionally you take care of their individual development plans and continuous improvement activities.
- About 30-40% of your time on average (~1 week / month) you will travel to Flex sites around the EMEA area, directly interfacing with internal stakeholders as well as meeting with customers or vendors.
- You fulfil global indirect procurement KPIs, improve spend management, work on cashflow improvements, talent development programs, improve velocity in procurement by introducing catalogues and preferred vendor lists.
- You work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders to develop a portfolio of strategic sourcing projects to support Flex business needs and growth targets and continuously develop cost savings pipelines and work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost
- & performance improvement strategies
- You drive sourcing-, bidding
- & contracting activities and frequently lead challenging negotiations and the tendering process with existing and prospective new suppliers, utilizing your strong project, stakeholder management and intercultural skills, ensuring the best possible conditions for Flex.
- You control indirect procurement spend and scale to support them with demand management
- and sourcing advice to accomplish regional targets. You organize/provide best practice training for indirect procurement teams and make sure all the teams are operating in compliance to procurement policy, sourcing guidelines and other corporate governance rules and -culture.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- A finished degree in areas such as Business Administration, Procurement & Supply Chain Mgt. and/ or Engineering
- We’re also looking for excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence to successfully operate in a complex environment with multiple internal customers and stakeholders at VP-level and above, global commodity leads, a broad and diverse supply-base and a procurement team located in multiple decentralized locations.
- In this role professional English is required to successfully work with your regional and global stakeholders; additional languages would give you an advantage
- Strong demonstrated experience in managing larger procurement
- & supply chain operations with strong skills related to advanced sourcing techniques (e.g. bidding process, contract negotiations) and vendor management

- and Elektronikindustrie. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your qualification and work experience.
