**About the role**:

**Hours**:Full-Time

**Type of Contract**:10 months temporary Borealis contract

We are currently looking for a seasoned professional to take over this temporary role of a category manager (M/F/d) for raw material purchasing in our unit "Catalysts, Chemicals and Packaging".

In this role, you will be accountable for achieving effective procurement of goods at the lowest total cost of ownership. You will develop, align and implement sourcing strategies for your portfolio and based on the overall strategy and stakeholder demands.

**You will**:

- Negotiate frame agreements for key categories
- Be accountable for your category on group level for cost, quality, inventory and security of supply
- Contribute to a lean and compliant global sourcing process
- Manage key supplier relationship
- Manage claims

**About you**:

- Engineering or commercial master degree
- Several years of relevant experience in purchasing / category management
- Mastery of English at business level
- Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural environment
- Negotiation experience on senior level
- Being recognised as a dialogue engaging and inspiring person

Following Austrian law regulations, we offer, reflecting your experiences, skills and competencies, competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement chemical industry starting at EUR 66.526,88 annual gross salary (based on 38 hrs/week) and are willing to pay substantially more based on your experience and background.
