**Facilities Division - Mechanical Department Area Lead**:
POWER Engineers, Inc - Facilities Production Business Unit is growing and we are currently seeking a Mechanical Department Area Lead. The location for this position is in one of three locations: Madison, WI; Boise, ID; or Overland Park KS.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
In this role, you will work closely with our Mechanical Engineering team, internal and external clients, and our Division Leadership to support our existing team to develop, train and succeed in both their careers & projects. Leadership and Culture are two very key elements to success in this role. POWER is all about creating long-term/lasting relationships internally and with our clients. We keep all of our team, throughout the US, in one department. We do not have regional or other breakdowns purposely to foster best-in-class communications and support. The team may be in a single office or spread across several offices and will consist of a team of 10+ people. You need to have strong management, Business Development, mentorship, recruiting connections, training, and strategic planning abilities. Running a department is a challenging and rewarding experience. You will be assisting in developing annual strategic plans, working with bi-annual personnel appraisals, and developing 1-5 year initiatives will be some of your leadership roles. You will be implementing the POWER Guidelines and Procedures for your reports. You'll develop and grow both our internal team as well as our connection to the industry and our clients including sales, professional organizations, conferences, trade shows, presentations, thought leadership, and knowledge transfer. It is essential that you have a very strong understanding of engineering design production around design development, planning, standards, specifications, documentation, coordination, implementation, CAD, and BIM as well as construction, startup, commissioning, training, and pre-construction. You need to be self-motivated, an excellent collaborator, and someone that wants to take ownership of initiatives, including Business Development, to drive them to the next level. You will report to the Mechanical Department Manager and be a peer leader with the other discipline area leads. You will work with top-tier food clients as well as a fully comprehensive engineering firm with all disciplines internal to our division.

**Required Education/Experience**:

- 8+ years relevant work experience in Mechanical engineering (Food & beverage)
- Sales/marketing/business development experience
- Excellent communication skills required, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients or customers
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word/Excel/Outlook/Project)
- QA/QC Checking & Management experience
- Organizational Leadership/Communication Expertise

**Desired Education/Experience**:

- Degree in engineering, design, management, or other relevant fields
- A&E Design Consulting experience
- 2D & 3D Plant, AutoCAD, and BIM general knowledge
- Experience in design of agribusiness, food, beverage, chemicals, and personal care systems and facilities, including mechanical utilities, HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, and mechanical equipment.
