(Senior) Lab Technician

In addition, the company aims to develop functional cures of HBV and HIV in collaboration with Gilead.

**Position Summary**:
**Main Responsibilities**:

- Perform immunoassays (e.g., multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA, multiplex cytokine profiling)
- Perform _i_n vitro_ assays with human PBMCs and cell lines (e.g., transfection, ELISpot, cytotoxicity, proliferation, live cell imaging)
- Develop, optimize, and establish translational _in vitro_ and _ex vivo_ assays
- Execute, analyze, and present experiments in department meetings
- Cell culture of cell lines and primary cells (e.g., moDCs)
- Human tissue preparation and processing (e.g., PBMCs)
- Work with infectious materials under BSL-2 conditions
- Documentation of experiments according to internal guidelines
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment and material stocks
- Ability to work on weekends and statutory holidays if necessary

**Qualifications**:

- MTA, BTA, Dipl. Ing. (FH), B.Sc., M.Sc. or equivalent in relevant field (e.g., Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Biotechnology)
- 1+ year of relevant hands-on lab experience (e.g., cell culture, immunoassays, BSL-2)
- Understanding of the concepts of immunology and immuno-oncology
- Experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, immunological assays and human PBMCs is a must
- Experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., qPCR, transduction) is a plus
- Eager to acquire new knowledge, to learn, develop and optimize novel techniques
- Independent, efficient, proactive, well organized, solution
- and detail-oriented, hands-on mentality
- Motivated, flexible team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel and deliver high quality results under tight timelines
- MS Office and data analysis skills (GraphPad Prism, FlowJo)
- Strong interest in working in a creative environment and in participating in all aspects of preclinical development
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary from EUR 2.754;
- (Lab Technician) to EUR 3.233;
- (Senior Lab Technician) based on fulltime (40 hours per week). Depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
