Patient Engagement Partner Lead (M/F/d)

The Patient Engagement Partner Lead is a leadership role to the Patient Engagement Partners, focused on providing educational support to improve the access to diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the Austrian population through cooperation with key external and internal stakeholders. The Purpose is to improve the impact of our medicines on patients and society and to ensure protection of the population through vaccination where appropriate.
The team reporting to the Patient Engagement Partner focus on patient experience by understanding needs of patients in the market to achieve better state of care through key stakeholder engagement. They help to improve the patient journey experience and where appropriate can be the face of the patient support programs.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads employees with the goal of achieving successful strategy implementation.
- Ensures that success is measured.
- Develop and ensure a strategy to ensure compliant and relevant interaction with key external stakeholders, focused on improving the overall patient journey from prevention, diagnosis and treatment in Austria in compliance with the legal framework.
- Leads a team that focusses on therapeutic area specific patient journeys and their improvement in compliance with the legal framework.
- Direct accountability for setting direction, deploying resources, performance, goal setting and development discussions.
- Requires management skill, broad expertise in the healthcare business, process & people leadership and understanding of interaction with patient advocacy groups
- Accountable for business, functional, operational processes and/or program management as well as for project and/or department budgets and the results of other people.
- Supports the team in:
- Understanding the patient journey and collecting insights (xBU or BU specific) to identify hurdles and opportunities for partnerships to enhance patient experience
- Building solutions and initiatives tailored to the patient journey needs (close collaboration with XF-Brand Teams)
- Leveraging technology to enable better patient experience in coordination with internal key stakeholders
- Operationalizing implementation of the programs, initiatives, internal process, ongoing oversight or follow-up
- Ensuring close communication and partnership with key external and internal relevant colleagues: Medical, Marketing, Navigators, SHP, Patient Advocacy Leads, PHI
- Conducting work in a compliant manner - adhering to internal and external regulations
What you offer:
- University degree in science, economics or equivalent level
- At least 3-4 years’ experience with working with patient advocacy groups
- Communication and presentation skills incl. asking the right questions; good listening skills (à ability to understand patients and patients’ needs)
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Proven ability to interact with external stakeholders
- In depth knowledge of health care system and access to products
- Agility & Flexibility (& open-minded)
- X-Functional mindset and networking incl. alignment and exchange on customers (to optimize the customer experience)
- Strong compliance and legal awareness
- Fluent German and very good business English.
- Strong understanding of regulatory framework to ensure an effective and overall compliance
- Increased awareness of compliance

- Relevant experience/leadership responsibility and strong knowledge management

The salary depends on education, training and expert knowledge as well as previous experience but will at least amount to EUR 75.000 gross p.a./ full-time.
