We are Green Cloud Nine. A green and social impact start-up in the middle of the Austrian Alps.

For our upcoming European digital marketplace focused on Sustainable products and services, we are looking for a Sustainability / Environment Specialist to reinforce our existing team.

This position is a internship (unpaid), starting immediately and with a planned duration of min 3 months. We consider part-time applicants.

Your tasks
- Support the development, implementation and evolution of Green Cloud Nine’s Sustainability Strategy.
- Support the implementation of a Sustainability Evaluation for prospective vendors to ensure their ethical and environmental status align with Green Cloud Nine’s expectations
- Prepare supporting guidelines for employees and vendors sustainability journey, including design and delivery of training, toolkits and webinars.
- Identify new opportunities for environmental and ethical improvement in Green Cloud Nine’s processes and existing Code of Conduct. Set the basis for our annual sustainability report.
- Research and liaise with external partners (suppliers, universities ) to define the best way to measure and communicate the environmental impact of our activities.
- Develop relevant and well-researched sustainability goals, and the related reports to measure and track them.
- Work closely with our Marketing & Communications team to ensure all communications are clear, transparent and aligned with our sustainability values. Engage in community activities.

**Profile**:

- Fluent in English, written and spoken is a must. Other languages welcome, preferably German.
- Degree-level education in sustainability/environment.
- In-depth understanding of one or more environmental assessments such as LEED, BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel etc
- Understanding of ISO management systems.
- Willing to learn and demonstrating a high level of commitment and reliability.
- Organised and with good planning and project management skills.
- Passion for sustainability and environmental issues
- Self-starter with an ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
