The** Director of Interior Design** will be integral to the success of our global growth plans, driving the direction of our interior design strategy for existing hotels and new design initiatives for all new build, conversion, renovation, and prototype hotel projects within Falkensteiner. **What it’s all about** - Establish and maintain regular communication and interaction with the architecture and design groups, project services team, operations team, etc. on all ongoing and upcoming remodeling and renovation projects, including reviewing design presentations and product selection. - Maintaining solid working relationships with owners, project managers, designers, suppliers, purchasing companies, and contractors. - Provision of the project and technical support. - Contact person for planning-specific questions/topics during the entire planning and execution phase and support for the commissioned architects and interior designers. - Be familiar with the established standards, specifications, and all documents and drawings and the use of the necessary programs. - Provide the resource to determine and support compliance with company specifications. - Review of construction and renovation drawings, F&B, submissions, and specifications for compliance with brand standards and specifications. - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of FF&E, building materials, fabrication and installation techniques, and new products and processes to ensure state-of-the-art design, review support, and potential cost reductions. - Assisting in the development and/or improvement of program documents, sequencing, and tracking compliance with the approved critical path for each project. - Monitor the projects assigned to you to ensure timely completion and quickly identify potential delays/challenges. - Show your commitment to the core values of Falkensteiner - The above tasks are by no means to be understood as all-encompassing.
