We are seeking an individual to represent the area of Immunology with focus on immunotherapy and prophylaxis at the Vetmeduni covering research and teaching aspects. The assistant professorship will be based at the Institute of Immunology. The position of the assistant professor is regulated by a performance agreement (according to - 27 of the collective contract (Kollektivvertrag) for university employees). The contract is initially limited to a duration of 4 years with the potential for a permanent contract at a level of associate professor after a positive evaluation of the performance agreement goals..

Offer Requirements

Specific Requirements

University degree in natural sciences or veterinary medicine. Completed doctorate or PhD. At least 2 years of experience as a postdoc at a university or other research institution. Proven research activities in the field of immunology, especially research focus on veterinary relevant species. Experience in the establishment and use of immunological model systems. Profound methodological knowledge and experience in modern immunological and molecular biological methods. Knowledge in conception of third-party funded grants. Teaching experience, experience in Third Mission activities. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English and German (B2 level). Ability to work in a team. Willingness for interdisciplinary collaborations. Outstanding social and communication skills. Good command of German (non-German-speaking applicants are expected to reach at least level B1 within 2-3 years)
