As a Manager S&OP (SX) DACH (M/F/d) supporting our European Surgical Sales & Operations Planning Team, you will be trusted to work as First point of contact on supply chain questions for local commercial teams. This position can be based anywhere near one of our offices in Germany or Austria with flexibility for hybrid working.
Core Accountabilities:
- Drive optimal S&OP processes within the Surgical franchise. This includes developing, maintaining and monitoring all S&OP processes including training, process maintenance and tool set use, to achieve an effective S&OP process
- Front face of Supply Chain within given area - assess situation and direct questions to appropriate supply chain team member (W&D, Transportation, etc.)
- Interact with Global Supply team to drive demand/supply management plan throughout the process to ensure financial and customer requirements are achieved
- Collecting all market requirements and submitting Product Launch Requests
- Participate in regional & global S&OP reviews and leading local S&OP reviews
- Drive actions with commercial teams to manage demand to available supply to mitigate backorder and obsolescence risks (supply constraints and excess inventory)
- Launch new product in adherence with Global Supply, partner with the Marketing team on the product portfolio by overseeing franchise product launches/ rationalization/ special promotions, including communications to regulatory group and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment to global demand and supply planning process. Fully understand and convey franchise-unique needs, develop informational decks/reporting to clearly assess plans, including supporting data, analysis, and new developments in supply upsides and constraints
- Assist franchise in identifying, training and supporting country representatives, demonstrating an effective and sustainable S&OP process. Lead unit and dollar demand forecast (including revenue and samples) review
- Work alongside franchise counterparts to align current ROFO demand forecast submission against market activities and sales trends
- Identify gaps between current plans and financial commitments, derive possible gap closing initiatives and highlight the risks and opportunities
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Solid experience (5+ years) in managing S&OP processes or similar experience in Supply Chain Management
- Fluent English skills are a must; fluent German and any other language skills would be a plus
- Professional manner, attention to detail with outstanding personal organizational skills
- Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
- Self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independent and in a high performing team
- Excellent communication skills
