We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to shape and drive the sales strategy and business partnerships for our new hotel project, The Companion Vienna, opening in March 2026.

Your role
As
Sales Manager
you will drive revenue, market positioning and client relationships, ensuring
The Companion Vienna
launches successfully and grows sustainably. From building our pre-opening sales plan to cultivating long-term partnerships, you'll help create a strong market presence that reflects our values of authenticity, community and belonging. Your main responsibilities will be:
Revenue & Business Development
Drive new business opportunities with corporate clients, groups and events, applying innovative strategies and partnerships to grow revenue. Prepare tailored offers, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive yet profitable pricing while contributing to the pre-opening sales plan, budgets and forecasts.
Market & Relationship Management
Represent The Companion Vienna as the main contact for clients, agencies, tour operators and local partners, and build long-term relationships that strengthen brand loyalty. Develop strong connections with local businesses and community partners to position the hotel from day one, and showcase the brand at trade fairs, sales trips and networking events before and after opening.
Strategy & Reporting
Analyze market trends, competitor activity and performance data to design and implement sales strategies that maximize occupancy, RevPAR and overall revenue. Provide strategic input on pricing structures, packages and distribution channels during the launch phase.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with General Management, Reservations, Events, Revenue Management and Marketing to ensure sales activities reflect the brand identity and enhance the guest experience. Contribute sales insights to the pre-opening project team to ensure a strong and successful launch.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Sales professional with a background in hospitality and several years of proven experience in hotel sales. You know the Vienna market well and ideally bring an established network in the Corporate, MICE or Leisure segments. You are a natural relationship builder who communicates with confidence, negotiates effectively and enjoys connecting with clients, partners and colleagues alike. At the same time, you work strategically and data-driven, analysing trends and performance to design creative sales strategies. Most importantly, you bring passion for hospitality and a positive, hands-on attitude that thrives in a fast-paced pre-opening environment, embodying the Companion spirit of community, authenticity and guest focus.

The salary for this position is based on the Austrian collective agreement for the hotel industry; for pay group 2, it amounts to at least € 2.492,00 gross per month. Management-level salaries are subject to individual negotiation.
