Systems Engineer in Measurement System Development

As a Systems Engineer, you define technical requirements and develop the system architecture. Together with a multidisciplinary team, you design and test prototypes – from the initial concept to series production.

Job Description

• Deriving technical requirements from stakeholder needs and use cases
• Developing the system architecture of measurement systems in coordination with domain architects
• Aligning the system architecture and technology stack with domain and enterprise architects
• Performing requirements engineering for system requirements and associated tests (V-model)
• Supporting the development team in detailing and implementing the system design
• Executing system verification tests and deriving necessary design adaptations
• Further development of the existing verification and validation test strategy
• Contributing to the ongoing development of company-wide architectural concepts and principles

Qualifications

• Completed technical or scientific education (University of Applied Sciences, Technical University, or University)
• Preferably several years of experience in architecture and system design in the field of metrology
• Experience with system modeling and related tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect)
• Strong knowledge in requirements engineering and verification testing is an advantage
• Broad technological understanding (physics, electronics, mechanics, firmware, software)
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken (C1/C2 level)
• Proactive and self-reliant working style
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to travel: 10–20%
• Preferably open to a multi-year international assignment (expatriate 1–3 years in GER, CH, or USA) at one of Anton Paar's international subsidiaries following a comprehensive onboarding at the headquarters

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market.
