Design Strategy & Vision

• Define and execute the design strategy for AI -powered experiences across the Platform
  solution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Lead the design evolution of Copilot and future AI initiatives, establishing foundational
  interaction patterns for conversational AI within enterprise observability workflows
• Collaborate with product management to influence AI feature roadmaps through user-
  centered design insights and strategic design thinking.

Design Leadership & Execution

• Guide design decisions across the Data Intelligence capability, serving as the primary
  design contact for capability leadership, solution architects, and cross-capability
  stakeholders.
• Lead zero-to-one design explorations for emerging AI use cases, translating complex AI
  capabilities into intuitive user experiences.
• Establish design standards and interaction patterns for AI features that integrate
  seamlessly with existing Dynatrace workflows.

Cross-Capability Collaboration

• Partner with the design system team to contribute AI-specific components and patterns
  that benefit the entire Platform solution.
• Work across capabilities to ensure consistent AI experiences throughout the product,
  establishing shared design language for AI interactions.
• Mentor and coach designers across capabilities on AI design best practices and emerging
  interaction models.

User-Centered AI Design

• Advocate for users throughout AI development processes, ensuring AI features solve real
  workflow problems rather than showcase technology capabilities.
• Lead user research initiatives specific to AI feature adoption, effectiveness, and workflow
  integration.
• Design conversation frameworks, response patterns, and error recovery flows that
  maintain user trust and system reliability.

Leadership Experience

• 8+ years of product design experience in enterprise software, with 3+ years in design leadership roles.
• Proven track record of leading design strategy for complex, multi-faceted product areas.
• Experience mentoring designers and fostering design excellence within fast-paced, technical environments.

AI Design Expertise

• 2+ years of hands-on experience designing AI-powered features, conversational interfaces, or intelligent automation tools.
• Deep understanding of AI/LLM capabilities and limitations, including prompt engineering, context management, and model integration considerations.
• Portfolio showcasing real-world AI product experiences with clear reasoning behind design decisions and business impact.

Enterprise Software Fluency

• Strong systems thinking ability with experience designing for complex, data-heavy enterprise workflows.
• Understanding of observability, monitoring, or analytics domains (preferred but not required).
• Experience working within design systems and contributing to scalable design solutions.

Collaboration & Communication

• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and present design strategies to leadership.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments where AI capabilities and user needs are continuously evolving.
• Experience partnering with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to translate technical possibilities into user value.

• Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
