The Goal

What you'll be doing

As a
Senior Software Engineer
you will be responsible for…

· Development and maintenance of scalable Java-based backend systems

· Development of new features and functionality customer products and services, including the implementation of unit tests as and where required

· Design and implementation of APIs and web services

· Collaboration with front-end developers to ensure smooth interfaces

· Analysing and optimising the performance of existing applications

· Implementation of security and data protection standards

· Participation in code reviews and continuous improvement of our development processes

· Documentation and testing of the developed solutions

The Player

What you'll bring

· A Bachelor's degree in a traditional science subject, ideally computer science, engineering or information systems from a well regarded university;

· At least 3 years relevant experience in in backend development with Java

· Sound knowledge of backend frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate)

· Development within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

· Excellent teamwork skills within an agile team environment

· Able to deal with changing priorities and based on requirements agreed with senior team members including, BA's QA's and software architects;

· Experience in exposing and consuming RESTful APIs

· A good understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL)

· Experience in the use of Git (GitHub)

· Good English skills, both spoken and written
