Job DescriptionAs a (Senior) Backend Developer in our Checkout & Order Services team, you will:
- Contribute to the development of our international e-commerce platform through backend services
- Design and develop APIs that power customer touchpoints (Web, App) for shopping and self-service experiences.
- Work on key business domains such as payment, loyalty and pricing, helping shape critical customer and operational processes.
- Ensure long-term usability and scalability of our IT systems through thoughtful software architecture and performance optimizations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary agile teams to solve complex challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Profound completed education in the field of IT/software-development with proven experience
- Excellent knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Spring (Boot) and software architecture
- Proficiency with HTTP and event-based APIs
- Experience with Microservices, Docker (Kubernetes), CI/CD (Gitlab), Kafka
- Independent, structured and reliable working method
- Conceptual and analytical skills with attention to details
- A team player that likes to share and discuss ideas
- Fluent English skills, German is a plus
