We are seeking a self driven Senior Financial Accountant to join our European Finance team. Based at our Salzburg, Austria site, you will be work closely with local R&D, operations and finance team and will be an integral part of the European finance team in Wokingham, UK. Reporting to the European Finance Director, you will be responsible for the financial accounting of the Austrian and German legal entities, ensuring compliance with both local and US GAAP across statutory and management accounting.

This position has one direct report and involves close partnership with the European Accounting and FP&A team, the business operations and the US corporate team. As part of the European finance leadership, you will play a key role in engaging and developing the wider finance team and driving process improvement initiatives across the region.

This position is based on-site at our Austrian facility in Puch/Hallein and may require occasional travel to the UK on a periodic basis.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting cycles for the Austrian and German legal entity ensuring full compliance to US GAAP and accounting policies and collaborating closely with the European Finance team in UK and the US Corporate.
• Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts in accordance with Austrian GAAP (UGB) and German GAAP (HGB) and oversee accurate tax filings including VAT, Corporate income tax and withholding taxes.
• Maintain a strong control environment ensuring clean balance sheets, effective design and operation of controls and timely compliance with all deadlines.
• Support the FP&A team with forecasting and budgeting for both local entities and the wider European business.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, auditors, and regulatory authorities, managing audit requests and fostering collaborations across functions.
• Lead, motivate and develop a high performing European finance team with strong collaboration with the US Corporate team.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, designing and implementing efficient standardised processes to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Basic accounting qualification for Austria and/or Germany. Accounting Qualification for Germany (z. Bsp. Handelsakademie Buchhaltung) Fundamental accounting qualification for Austria and/or Germany (Certified Accountant, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification with minimum 5 years post qualification experience
• Comprehensive multi-GAAP expertise, specifically Austrian (UGB) and German (HGB). Knowledge and experience of local taxation requirements preferable. US GAAP knowledge desirable.
• Fluent in German and English
• Proven track record in dynamic, global environments with strict compliance to deadlines and controls. Specific expertise in manufacturing and/or R&D and a strong focus on intercompany processes preferable
• Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in finance systems and excel. Experience with Oracle financials preferred but not essential.

For this position, the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry applies; the minimum monthly gross salary is €4, based on full-time employment), with willingness to pay more depending on qualifications and experience.

Wir suchen einenSenior Bilanzbuchhalter, der unser europäisches Finance-Team verstärkt. Die Position ist an unserem Standort Salzburg (Puch/Hallein) angesiedelt. Du arbeitest eng mit den lokalen Teams in F&E, Produktion und Finance zusammen und bist ein integraler Teil des europäischen Finance-Teams in Wokingham, UK. In dieser Rolle berichtest du an den European Finance Director und verantwortest die Finanzbuchhaltung der österreichischen und deutschen Gesellschaften – einschließlich der Einhaltung aller lokalen Vorschriften sowie US-GAAP-Standards im Rahmen der gesetzlichen und internen Rechnungslegung.

Diese Position verfügt über eine direkte Berichtslinie und beinhaltet eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem European Accounting-Team, dem FP&A-Team, dem operativen Business sowie dem US-Corporate Team. Als Teil des europäischen Finance-Leadership-Teams spielst du eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Entwicklung und Einbindung des gesamten Finance-Teams sowie bei der Umsetzung regionaler Prozessverbesserungen.

Die Position ist vollständig vor Ort an unserem österreichischen Standort in Puch/Hallein angesiedelt und erfordert gelegentliche Dienstreisen nach Großbritannien.

• Sicherstellung eines starken internen Kontrollumfelds – inklusive sauberer Bilanzstrukturen, wirksamer Kontrollmechanismen und fristgerechter Compliance.
• Unterstützung des FP&A-Teams bei Forecasting und Budgetierung für beide Gesellschaften sowie für das gesamte europäische Geschäft.
• Hauptansprechpartner:in für externe Partner, Wirtschaftsprüfer und Behörden; Steuerung von Prüfungsanfragen und Förderung bereichsübergreifender Zusammenarbeit.
• Führung, Motivation und Weiterentwicklung eines leistungsstarken europäischen Finance-Teams in enger Abstimmung mit dem US-Corporate Team.
• Förderung einer Kultur der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung sowie Umsetzung effizienter, standardisierter Prozesse zur Steigerung von Genauigkeit und Wirksamkeit.

• Abgeschlossenes wirtschaftliches Studium und/oder eine Bilanzbuchhalter-Ausbildung in Österreich oder Deutschland (z. B. CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA oder gleichwertig) sowie mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung nach Abschluss.
  
• Fundierte Multi-GAAP-Expertise, insbesondere UGB (AT) und HGB (DE); Kenntnisse der lokalen steuerlichen Anforderungen bevorzugt; Erfahrung mit US GAAP von Vorteil.
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
• Nachweisbare Erfolge in dynamischen, internationalen Unternehmensumfeldern mit hoher Compliance- und Deadline-Verantwortung; Erfahrung in Produktion und/oder F&E sowie im Intercompany-Umfeld von Vorteil.
• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und Fähigkeit, unterschiedliche interne und externe Stakeholder wirkungsvoll einzubinden.
• Hohe Systemaffinität und sehr gute Excel-Kenntnisse; Erfahrung mit Oracle Financials ist ein Plus, aber keine Voraussetzung.

Für diese Position gilt der Kollektivvertrag der Elektro- und Elektronikindustrie.

Das Mindestbruttomonatsgehalt beträgt € 4.762,59 (Vollzeitbasis).

Je nach Qualifikation und Erfahrung besteht die Bereitschaft zur Überzahlung.
