As our Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (f/m/d) you will be working on making engineer life easy and efficient, as well as taking care of our core platform, using exciting technologies. Joining the dynamic Eversports Product & Engineering Team, you'll thrive in a collaborative DevOps culture, designing automated solutions that enhance developer productivity and drive impactful infrastructure. With rapid onboarding and ownership of exciting projects, you'll innovate, grow, and make a lasting contribution to our mission: "Make sports happen"

Work time: Full-time  (35h/week, every second Friday off)

Location: VIENNA, Austria

• Empower Engineering Autonomy: Design and build reusable infrastructure components that enable engineers to develop, deploy, and operate their services with confidence and autonomy.
• Enhance Developer Experience: Continuously improve developer workflows by designing concepts, evaluating tools, and automating processes like dev environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment systems in close collaboration with development teams.
• Build and Scale Core Platforms: Develop and optimize a robust continuous delivery platform, covering build pipelines, automated testing, deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Champion Code Quality and Best Practices: Drive adoption of best practices for code quality, testing, and maintainability while creating clear, actionable guidelines to support engineering teams.
• Secure the Platform: Strengthen the security of core platforms by implementing best practices and educating teams to ensure secure development and operations.
• Shape Technical Vision: Play an active role in defining and evolving the company's technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Foster Collaboration and Improvement: Create a culture of open feedback and continuous improvement by sharing ideas, identifying pain points, and proposing innovative solutions.

• Fluency in written and verbal communication in English
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, working on mid- to large-scale production systems, including 2+ years in platform-focused roles such as DevOps, Cloud, SysOps, or Developer Experience (DX)
• Proven expertise with AWS
• Background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably AWS CDK
• Track record of developing web applications with and TypeScript
• Fun in operating, monitoring & maintaining critical production systems
• Knowledge of network design (optimally in a cloud environment)
• Loves working on Developer Experience

At Eversports, we believe in transparency, so here is the fine print: for the current position we will offer a minimum yearly gross salary of EUR 65,000 based on the IT collective agreement (overpayment offered based on experience).
