Group Regulatory Compliance is responsible for steering regulatory compliance risks acc. to § 39 Abs. 6 BWG. The unit regularly monitors compliance risks in Erste Group's processes using internal and external control frameworks. Regulatory compliance risks are regularly assessed in a holistic risk assessment and reported to both internal management and external stakeholders. When necessary – the unit initiates and tracks mitigation measures to ensure a prudent management of compliance risks.

In your internship you become a fully viable team member and get the chance to learn from our senior experts in the field of banking regulation and regulatory compliance. You support the team members in tasks such as:

Your Tasks
  • Screening the regulatory landscape to identify new or changed regulatory/legal texts, and assessing the applicability to Erste Group
  • Contributing to our Regulatory Compliance framework by supporting our experts
  • Contributing to the management reporting and Regulatory Compliance risk assessment
  • Supporting the team in assessing and driving further implementation of technology in the area of relevant reg-tech
Your Background
  • Ongoing studies at University/University of Applied Sciences with a background in legal
  • Passionate about banking and the application of banking regulation
  • Highly motivated to contributing to the team of experts in their mission to ensuring Erste Group's compliance with banking regulation
