An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Contracts Manager (Mechanical)
to join a leading international M&E contractor within their Data Centre business in
Vienna.

As Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading multiple high-value projects across Europe. You will ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards - while exceeding client expectations. Managing teams of project professionals, including Site Managers, Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors, you will be responsible for driving performance, maintaining standards, and upholding the company's values throughout every stage of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project operations across multiple contracts.
  • Support estimation processes and pre-contract preparations.
  • Oversee design development, value engineering, and project execution.
  • Drive commercial performance and ensure adherence to commercial targets.
  • Manage all procurement activities including subcontractors, materials, and plant/equipment.
  • Ensure all subcontracted works are delivered in line with contracts and specifications.
  • Monitor resource and material usage to ensure efficiency.
  • Produce weekly project progress reports covering RFIs, procurement, technical submittals, and programme updates.
  • Lead regular meetings with design teams and subcontractors.
  • Promote and enforce Health & Safety compliance across all project sites.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying and supporting new opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum
    10+ years' experience
    in Mechanical & Electrical contracting, ideally within the data centre or large-scale industrial sector.
  • A
    third-level degree
    in a relevant engineering or construction discipline is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience managing multiple large projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work in the EU.
