Head of Performance Marketing

As the Head of Performance Marketing at StudySmarter, you will be responsible for scaling our global user base through data-driven paid growth strategies. You'll lead a talented marketing team, drive ROI across paid channels, and shape how millions of students discover and engage with StudySmarter.
In this role, you will:
Develop and execute a performance marketing strategy across paid social, search, display, and affiliates.
Manage and scale a multi-million euro marketing budget with a focus on efficiency and growth.
Collaborate with Product, Sales, and other teams to drive full-funnel performance initiatives.
Continuously analyze marketing performance and optimize campaigns for CAC, LTV, and ROI.
Devleop and improve marketing tech stack and attribution with tools such as appsflyer, google tag manager etc.
Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing marketing team.
Own the marketing tech stack (AppsFlyer, Amplitude, GA4). You will ensure we have the attribution modeling required to spend millions with confidence.
You will optimize the entire conversion flow from Ad Creative to Subscription Purchase
Identify new channels and technologies to accelerate user acquisition and retention.
You have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of digital marketing dynamics, and proven success in scaling consumer apps or digital platforms. You combine a data-driven approach with creativity and leadership, inspiring teams to achieve ambitious growth goals.
You have:
5+ years of experience in Performance or Growth Marketing, ideally in B2C tech or app subscription environments.
Proven track record in scaling paid campaigns on paid social and paid search with 7 digit budgets per month (preferably Mobile App/Subscription)
Deep expertise in paid channels such as Meta, Google, TikTok, and programmatic platforms.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in tools like AppsFlyer, Amplitude, Google Analytics Suite, and more
Expertise in guiding a creative production team tailored to increasing ROAS in paid marketing
Leadership experience with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills in English and German
Work directly with the founders on some of the most strategic, high-impact topics
