Senior Software Test Engineer

We are looking for an energetic, experienced, and driven Senior Test Engineer to guide our testing efforts within a cross-functional engineering team.

You will own the quality strategy and testing for our test authoring product, supporting continuous testing and effortless automation for cloud-based enterprise applications. In addition to hands-on testing, you will drive test planning, coordinate test automation strategy, work directly with Tosca, our cutting-edge codeless test automation solution, and ensure product quality from requirements to release.

Role & Responsibilities

• Own the quality strategy across the product lifecycle and drive best practices in testing
• Test new features and ensure comprehensive test coverage (functional, performance, exploratory, …)
• Define, implement, and guide automation test strategy across the team
• Set testing priorities and support the team in delivering within sprint timeboxes
• Act as the primary advocate for quality in sprint ceremonies and technical discussions
• Collaborate closely with product owners, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are testable and customer value is delivered
• Identify gaps in test processes and drive continuous improvement
• Coordinate test activities within and across teams
• Be part of the Tricentis Tosca Testing Community and collaborate with the Quality Lead and other testers in the department to improve the product's quality

Qualifications

• Strong technical background and deep understanding of Web Applications, REST APIs, etc.
• 5+ years of hands-on software testing experience
• Experience with test automation tools
• Strong ownership mindset and a bias for action
• Comfortable with fast-paced, evolving environments
• Strong analytical and communication skills in English

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), Docker, and Kubernetes
• Solid programming/scripting experience (e.g., Python, C#, etc.)
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Experience with performance testing
• Experience with leveraging AI in software testing
• Experience with modular / page object test frameworks

We are under legal obligation in Austria to indicate the minimum salary, which is EUR gross per year for this position according to the IT collective agreement. However, our attractive compensation packages follow current market salaries and can therefore be significantly above the indicated minimum salary.
