Are you an experienced data engineer who thrives on turning complex data into practical insights? Join our Risk Data Engineering team and help shape the future of data provisioning for risk models and business intelligence. We're looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of how data supports modeling, analytics, and decision-making.
As a Senior Data Engineer in Risk Management, you will- Redesign and automate the provisioning of high-quality, reliable data for risk models and BI applications
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Apache Spark, and Databricks, integrated with local database systems
- Collaborate with model developers, BI analysts, and risk experts to understand data needs and ensure seamless data delivery
- Implement daily data monitoring and validation routines to ensure data integrity and early detection of anomalies
- Ensure compliance with internal data governance and regulatory expectations
- Drive automation, standardization, and reusability across the data lifecycle
- Document technical solutions and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ideally in a risk, finance, or BI context
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure or similar cloud platforms
- Solid understanding of how data supports risk modeling, analytics, or business intelligence
- Experience with data quality monitoring, automated testing, and alerting frameworks
- Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on automation and operational excellence
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a regulated environment

- The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 55.176,52 gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person
