Company Description

Ready to strengthen our global data ecosystem and boost transparency across our organization?

Then this is for you

Join our Data Governance Team and take a key role in supporting our federated data governance framework by handling and analysing incoming data quality tickets from business partners. You'll dive into first-level investigations, resolve issues where possible, and document recurring patterns to reinforce accountability among data providers. Your work will connect operational issue handling with meaningful stakeholder engagement—driving better data ownership and clarity throughout the entire ecosystem.

Please note: The position is initially fixed-term for one year.

Job Description

Incident Handling & Investigation

In this position, you'll receive and triage incoming data quality tickets from business partners, performing initial analyses to identify root causes. You'll resolve straightforward issues independently and escalate more complex cases to the Data Quality Manager or the responsible data providers. Additionally, you'll ensure all tickets are accurately documented, properly classified, and consistently tracked through to closure.

Data Quality Reporting & Documentation

In this role, you'll keep an up-to-date overview of recurring data quality issues by maintaining the central statistics list used for trend monitoring. You'll distill systemic or repeated problems into clear summaries for management reporting and contribute valuable insights to improvement discussions with data providers. You'll also support the creation of periodic review materials that help guide data quality initiatives across the organization.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

Here, you serve as the primary operational touchpoint for business partners and data providers when data quality questions arise. You communicate findings in a clear and accessible way, ensuring stakeholders understand underlying causes and their ownership responsibilities. By cultivating strong, solution-oriented relationships, you encourage collaborative problem-solving while promoting accountability in a non-enforcement setting.

Collaboration within the Data Quality Function

You'll partner closely with the Data Quality Manager to enhance investigation methods, streamline ticket processes, and strengthen the feedback channels to data owners. Your contributions help shape repeatable best practices and support the continuous maturation of data quality issue handling within our federated governance model.

Continuous Improvement Support

In this capacity, you spot recurring patterns and operational gaps, recommending preventative actions to reduce future issues. You'll bring your perspective to ongoing efforts to refine data quality standards, enhance metadata structures, and clarify ownership across the ecosystem, driving sustainable improvements over time.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in data quality, data management, or a related analytical role, with a proven ability to investigate inconsistencies and identify root causes.

Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in data operations, reporting, or issue management; exposure to data governance, data quality, or process management is a plus.

Fluent, business-proficient English skills, suitable for working exclusively in an English-speaking environment and communicating clearly across all stakeholder groups.

Strong analytical, documentation, and technical skills, including proficiency in Excel and SQL (or comparable tools), to categorize, track, summarize, and analyze data quality issues effectively.

Clear communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience working with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and applying structured processes while working independently and ensuring accountability.

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2.303 gross per month.
