Our client is seeking an experienced Genomics Expert to lead their laboratory team and drive collaborative research within the oncology space, working closely with global partners and customers. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in genomics and molecular biology, along with proven leadership skills to guide experimental design, maintain scientific excellence, and align laboratory operations with industry-driven research objectives. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping translational genomics projects that advance drug discovery, biomarker identification, and precision medicine initiatives on a global scale.

Tasks/ Responsibilities:

-Lead the design and execution of genomics research projects Provide technological expertise in areas such as genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics and bioinformatics

-Supervise, mentor and guide a multidisciplinary team (e.g. molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, technicians)

-Analyse and interpret laboratory results with high accuracy and attention to detail

-Ensure compliance with quality standards Participate in method transfer, assay validation, and technical troubleshooting

-Communicate with stakeholders and partners Prepare reports, reviews, and summaries in compliance with regulatory requirements

-Present data and project updates to internal stakeholders and external partners

-Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies in genomics development

Skills and Abilities:

-PhD (or equivalent) in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or a related field Proven track record in supporting clinical trials, including sample and data analysis, reporting and data documentation

-Strong understanding of assay development, optimization, and validation processes for use in clinical research applications

-Background in oncology-related biomarker analysis

-Skilled in writing and reviewing documents in compliance with regulatory requirements

-Detail-oriented and quality-driven, with a solid grasp of documentation practices in regulated environments (e.g., audits, inspections)

-Effective communicator and team player, able to collaborate across functions
