Role Description

This is a volunteer, part-time, remote role for a Social Media Manager. The Social Media Manager will work together with our Social Media Coordinator to execute social media strategies, develop creative campaigns, and optimize content across platforms (Instagram ), LinkedIn, Substack). Responsibilities include creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring alignment with Lazy Women's mission.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media marketing and social media optimization (SMO)
  • Proficiency in Canva and strong graphic design skills (knowledge of design principles and visual storytelling)
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design guidelines—including brand consistency, typography, and color theory
  • Ability to follow and help develop brand identity using our existing brand kit
  • Awareness of social media and pop culture trends, particularly in feminist, creative, and political spaces
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
  • Illustration skills or creative design flair are a plus
  • Passion for feminism, social change, and community building
  • Previous experience with volunteer or nonprofit organizations is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and organize work efficiently
  • Availability during daytime hours (or strong organizational skills to plan and work ahead)
