About The Role
SS&C Algorithmics is seeking a
Software Engineer
(full stack Java developer) with an interest in operational aspects of credit risk management to join the Algo Credit Manager product development team in Vienna, Austria. This is a unique opportunity to become a part of cloud-native projects development, empowered by cutting-edge technology. This role will work with FinTech solution and technology experts to build and continuously innovate a suite of next generation risk solutions used by globally operating banks, asset managers, and insurance companies.

Your Responsibilities

• Hands-on design, coding, testing and technical leadership in an agile and continuous delivery process.
• Develop on the Cloud using tools such as JIRA, Git, Artifactory, and Container platform stack
• Write well-structured code following established coding standards.
• Develop software for Cloud platform-based deployments with an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with business analysts and product designers to ensure understanding of business requirements.
• Solve complex challenges of distributed, multi-threaded and real-time processing system architecture.

Your Skills

• A mature foundation in core Java/JVM ecosystem and related technologies, with OO skills and design patterns
• Practical experience with developing microservice architecture applications in cloud native solution design
• Fundamental understanding of multi-threading and synchronization concepts
• Working experience with relation database systems (PostgreSQL/Oracle)
• Solid analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of unit testing and working in an Agile software environment
• Exposure to SpringBoot, Angular, Groovy/JavaScript frameworks a plus
