We're building data products and services that actually get used, and we need agenuinely senior engineerto set the bar.The first 90 days (yes, Power BI on purpose)Own our reporting setup : architect and stand up a robust Power BI ecosystem so business users feel confident and self-sufficient .Model the data : build clean, reliable pipelines and semantic models that make insights obvious, not obtuse.Ship and coach : deliver a handful of "wow, that's useful" dashboards and leave behind documentation + guardrails.After that? Dive deep into the platform: services, APIs, data workflows, automation, and cloud-first delivery.What you'll doDesign, build, and run production services in the cloud.Write high-quality, modern C# and Python —from services to data pipelines.Collaborate daily with bright engineers, analysts, and product folks on-site in Vienna (5 days/week) .Champion engineering excellence: code reviews, testing, CI/CD, observability, and pragmatic architecture.Keep the BI foundation humming while expanding our platform beyond dashboards.What you bringFluent German (spoken & written) and confidence working with business stakeholders.7–10+ years in software engineering, with depth in C# , Python , and cloud services (Azure/AWS/GCP).Real experience delivering Power BI (or equivalent BI) at scale: data modelling, DAX, governance, access, refresh strategies.Strong grasp of data design, APIs, messaging, and event-driven patterns.A bias to ship, teach, simplify, and leave things better than you found them.Existing Austrian/EU work rights (role is Vienna-based; no visa sponsorship available).Nice-to-havesIaC (Terraform/Bicep), containers, serverless.SQL wizardry and performance tuning.Security-by-default mindset, cost awareness in cloud.The vibeMission > vanity metrics — we build things that matter.Brains without ego — you'll be surrounded by people who care, think, and execute.Craft + Pace — modern tooling, lean ceremonies, fewer meetings, more making.Compensation€100,000 – €120,000 base (more for exceptional fit) + benefits.Full-time, on-site in Vienna, 5 days/week .No sponsorship available.How to applySend your CV or GitHub/LinkedIn towith the subject"Senior Dev Vienna – I speak German".
