Wir suchen einen Software-Engineer (m/w/d) mit Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von KI-Algorithmen und in der Web-Entwicklung (Frontend) für unseren innovativen Produktstack zur Digitalisierung und Automatisierung von Arbeitsabläufen in der Pathologie.

Die Digital Path Solutions ist ein early-stage Startup in der Branche Pathologie und Labormedizin und entwickelt KI-Modelle in der Frühphase und Softwarelösungen zur Digitalisierung von medizinischen Laborabläufen.

Deine Aufgaben

• Entwicklung moderner Web-Frontends mit React, oder Angular
• Finetuning von Open-Source KI-Modellen bzw. Entwicklung neuartiger KI-Lösungen
• Design & Implementierung von KI-Trainingspipelines, Durchführung und Überwachung von Modellevaluierungen, CI/CD Pipelines, MLOps
• Unterstützung bei der Aufbereitung histologischer Schnittbilder und Erstellung von Datensplits sowie Qualitätssicherung
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Produktmanagement sowie Regulatory & Compliance, um maßgeschneiderte Pathologie-Lösungen auf den Markt zu bringen

Dein Profil

• Du lebst in Österreich, idealerweise in Wien, und möchtest in einem jungen und dynamischen Startup-Umfeld arbeiten.
• Du bringst fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in den Programmiersprachen Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NumPy/Pandas), Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, sowie Erfahrung mit Microservices/Containerarchitekturen (Docker) und Git mit.
• Du verfügst über mehrjährige Erfahrung im Frontend Engineering (UI/UX‑Erfahrung sehr wünschenswert).
• Du kennst dich in der K-Modellentwicklung und im Datenmanagement (Aufbereitung, Vor- und Nachverarbeitung) aus.
• Idealerweise hast du erste Erfahrung mit LLMs, sowie Algorithmen für Bilddatenverarbeitung und -analyse (z.B. CNNs oder Vision Transformers).
• Du kommunizierst deinen Fortschritt, Ergebnisse und Trade-offs gegenüber den Stakeholdern und zielführende Problemlösung motiviert dich
• Dein positives, respektvolles Auftreten und dein proaktives, lösungsorientiertes Mindset runden dein Profil ab.

We are looking for a Software Engineer (m/f/d) with experience in developing AI algorithms and web development (frontend) for our innovative product stack to digitalize and automate workflows in the field of pathology.

Digital Path Solutions is a early-stage startup in the pathology and laboratory medicine industry that has begun to develop AI models and software solutions for the digitalization of medical laboratory processes.

Your responsibilities:

• Development of modern web frontends with React, or Angular
• Fine-tuning open-source AI models and developing novel AI solutions
• Designing and implementing AI traning pipelines, performing and monitoring model evaluations, CI/CD pipelines, MLOps
• Supporting the curation of histological section image data and creation of data splits as well as quality assurance
• Working closely with product management and regulatory & compliance to bring tailor-made solutions to the market

Your profile:

• You live in Austria, ideally in Vienna, and want to work in a young and dynamic startup environment.
• You have advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NumPy/Pandas), Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, as well as experience with microservices/container architectures (Docker) and Git.
• You have several years of experience in frontend engineering (UI/UX experience highly desirable).
• You are familiar with AI model development and data management (preparation, pre- and post-processing).
• Ideally, you have initial experience with LLMs, as well as algorithms for image data processing and analysis (e.g., CNNs or vision transformers).
• You communicate your progress, results, and trade-offs to stakeholders, and you are motivated by goal-oriented problem solving.
• Your positive, respectful demeanor and proactive, solution-oriented mindset round out your profile.
