Lab Operations and Metrology Engineer

The group you'll be a part of
Working in the Metrology and Defect Analysis team within the Cleans Products' Lab Operations organization, you will be responsible for defining and monitoring the business processes specific to customer IP protection, cyber security, metrology, and inspection equipment.

What You'll Do

• Define the customer's Intellectual Property (IP) protection procedures, monitor its execution, perform data analysis to identify trends and area of improvements.
• Support the growing Cyber-Security testing and reporting for the laboratory and metrology environment in collaboration with the IT teams.
• Develop inspection techniques and metrology recipes supporting the data generation for customer demos.
• Take part in the organization and scheduling of the preventive maintenance and calibrations needed for the metrology tools.
• Execute the metrology tools periodic checks, applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods, ensuring that are operating within specified limits and producing consistent output.
• Support the data generation for internal and external audits, document the non-compliance findings, track, and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Collaborating in Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to optimize the Lab Operations business processes, supporting the digital transformation activities.

Who We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience in the field of optical measurements and/or chemical surface analysis.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality management and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 27001)
• Experience with metrology instruments, calibrations, and process control
• Familiarity with working in a laboratory and with semiconductor equipment.
• Knowledge of statistics, design of experiments and problem solving.

What We're Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group F depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
