Insurance Risk Strategy Consultant (German-speaking) - STEM / PhD education

Advise C-level executives at leading insurers on the intersection of capital, risk, regulation, and digital transformation. Blend quantitative modeling with market-leading trends—AI, ESG, governance, and digitalization—to help CFOs and CROs drive strategy and better decisions in a changing insurance world.

Responsibilities and Duties for the Insurance Risk Strategy Consultant

  • Translate technical analysis into simple, board-ready recommendations for CFOs and CROs, with a focus on AI, efficiency, and regulation.
  • Lead modeling across capital, risk, regulatory capital (Solvency II, IFRS 17), and ESG, using advanced data analytics.
  • Collaborate with actuaries, financial engineers, and digital experts to solve enterprise-scale problems.
  • Provide insight on market shifts including AI, digitalization, cost models, ESG, and governance frameworks.
  • Deliver best-practice, proactive risk management using scenario modeling, analytics, and compliance alignment.

Qualifications for the Insurance Risk Strategy Consultant

  • PhD in Math, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative experience.
  • Advanced statistics, stochastic modeling, and computational problem solving with Python, R, or VBA.
  • 3–7 years in insurance, actuarial, quantitative finance, strategy consulting, or risk/digital transformation roles.
  • Familiarity with Solvency II, IFRS 17, or related regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills; able to turn technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for senior executives.
  • Fluent in German and English.
