Job Title: R&D Intern Internship – Technical & Analytical Support

Equivalent to:
Internship position within R&D, under supervision of Research Associates or Scientists.

Scope:
Support in research and development activities .

Location:
Klosterneuburg, ISTA Campus, Austria.

Duration:
3–6 months (flexible start date)

Who can apply:
University students (BOKU, TU Wien, etc.) in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in applied scientific research, laboratory protocols, and analytical methods within a multidisciplinary environment.

Job Brief

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated
interns
to join our
Research & Development team
, supporting ongoing experimental work and data analysis. As an intern, you will assist in the design and execution of experiments, analytical analysis, prototyping, help ensure data quality and collaborate in drafting reports and documentation under the guidance of experienced researchers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform
    analytical analysis
  • Prototyping and Bioreactor operation
  • Assist in the
    design and execution of experiments
  • Support in maintaining
    lab protocols and documentation
  • Participate in
    data collection, analysis, and interpretation
  • Contribute to the preparation of
    technical reports and presentations
  • Help maintain
    HSEC
    (Health, Safety, Environment, and Compliance) standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in ongoing research projects
  • Attend and contribute to
    team meetings and brainstorming sessions

Requirements

  • Ongoing or recently completed studies in Engineering, Bioengineering,
    Biotechnology
    , or a related scientific field
  • Basic knowledge of
    laboratory practices and safety standards
  • Interest in learning about
    data analysis tools
    (Excel, statistical software, etc.)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
  • Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, and a proactive attitude
