About The Role

We are seeking highly motivated interns to join
World Data Lab
in the summer of 2026

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects that shape our mission - making data accessible and actionable for everyone, everywhere.

Internships are available in the following departments:

• Data Team: This team is responsible for the creation of our data products. From the processing of input data to creating the methodologies behind our forecasting, the entire pipeline of creating our datasets sits with the data team.
• Private Sector Insights Team: This team is responsible for presenting use cases of our data. We support our clients in understanding the why behind our data, support on the quality assurance of our consumer spending projections and showing how our data can help them with their initiatives.
• Public Sector Insights Team: This team, similar to our private sector insights group, is responsible for showcasing use cases of our data, with a focus on public sector collaborations. Our current engagements concentrate on three main areas, climate, poverty, and jobs, where we serve as the underlying data foundation enabling strategic impact at scale.
• Tech Team: This team is responsible for the maintenance and improvements to our website, World Data Pro platform, and our Clocks.

YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for talented individuals who are eager to learn, collaborate, and make an impact. We welcome your application if:

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program (or equivalent), or are a recent graduate.
• You are excited about data, sustainability, and innovation.
• You can commit to a full-time internship lasting 3 months (June-August 2026).
• You thrive in a dynamic, international environment.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

• Pre-Screening: Our People & Culture Manager will review your application to assess fit with the program and role requirements.
• First Interview: An initial conversation to learn more about your motivation, background, technical skills, and interest in World Data Lab.
• Case Study: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a practical case study relevant to their chosen department.
• Second Interview: You will present your case study to the hiring team and discuss your insights, approach, and ideas.
