Global ICT Portfolio Manager

Job purpose

The Global ICT Portfolio Manager drives the end-to-end portfolio management process for A1 ICT products and services, ensuring that the portfolio is fully aligned with the Business Delivery Center (BDC), which is responsible for delivering global services. This role guarantees that the portfolio is strategically directed, financially optimized, and operationally governed to create sustainable business value.

You will establish portfolio frameworks, assess opportunities, and manage lifecycle decisions to strike the right balance between innovation, profitability, and risk. By steering the portfolio management process in close collaboration with the BDC, you will provide transparency to leadership, enable fact-based decision-making, and ensure that global ICT investments—including cloud, networking, SaaS, and cybersecurity—are prioritized and executed for maximum impact.

What you do/Key responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Governance

• Establish and maintain the global portfolio management framework, including governance processes, stage-gates, and decision criteria.
• Define portfolio objectives, principles, and evaluation metrics to align with corporate strategy.
• Lead regular portfolio reviews with executive stakeholders to assess performance, risks, and resource allocation.
• Ensure global alignment while enabling local market differentiation within the portfolio.

Portfolio Planning & Prioritization

• Maintain a transparent, data-driven portfolio roadmap across Opcos and product lines.
• Drive the prioritization of initiatives based on business case value, strategic fit, and resource availability.
• Balance short-term revenue generation with long-term innovation and growth investments.
• Optimize portfolio mix to ensure profitability, competitiveness, and scalability.

Lifecycle & Value Management

• Oversee the portfolio lifecycle process from ideation through retirement, ensuring each offering adds measurable value.
• Manage investment decisions, including entry, scale, pivot, or exit of products/services.
• Track portfolio KPIs: revenue, profitability, adoption, ROI, customer satisfaction, and market relevance.
• Ensure continuous improvement through lessons learned, market insights, and performance analytics.

Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration

• Collaborate with regional leaders, product owners, and sales to ensure alignment and effective execution of the portfolio strategy.
• Facilitate portfolio decision-making forums across functions.

Market & Future Readiness

• Conduct ongoing competitive benchmarking and trend analysis to keep the portfolio future-ready.
• Identify whitespace opportunities and assess potential portfolio additions.
• Anticipate disruptive technologies (e.g., AI, edge, sustainability-driven ICT) and integrate them into portfolio planning.

What you offer

• 7–10+ years' experience in portfolio management or ICT product management with international scope. 
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, ICT, Engineering, or related field of advantage 
• Knowledge across ICT domains: cloud, SaaS, networking, cybersecurity, or managed services.
• Deep understanding of portfolio management methodologies (e.g., portfolio governance, value management, prioritization frameworks). 
• Strategic thinker with analytical strength and ability to make evidence-based decisions.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, and cross-functional alignment skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
• Fluent in English; additional languages an advantage.

Success Measures

Performance in this role will be measured by:

• Portfolio ROI – Return on portfolio investment and profitability growth.
• Revenue Mix – % of revenue and margin contribution from new products/services launched within the past 24 months.
• Time-to-Market – Reduction in average time from ideation to launch across the portfolio.
• Adoption & Penetration – Customer uptake and market share of portfolio offerings across regions.
• Portfolio Health Index – Balanced scorecard measuring innovation pipeline strength, product lifecycle distribution, and risk exposure.
• Stakeholder Alignment – Satisfaction and engagement levels of internal and external stakeholders in the portfolio process.
