Application Manager for Digital Solutions

The Digital Solutions team drives the tools and systems that power our business every day. This role ensures that our applications run smoothly, evolve continuously, and truly support the needs of our users. Working at the intersection of technology, processes, and people, the Application Manager transforms requirements into practical solutions and collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners. With a focus on reliability, improvement, and seamless functionality, this position plays a key part in enabling efficient operations across the organization.

Your tasks

• Operate, administer, and continuously improve assigned applications across stand-alone and integrated environments
• Provide 1st and 2nd level support while coordinating managed service providers
• Act as the interface between users, development teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth collaboration
• Collect, assess, and document detailed business requirements for enhancements and new solutions
• Monitor service quality and ensure steady progress from managed service teams
• Test and document APIs, interfaces, plug-ins, and extensions to ensure stable and secure integrations
• Promote digital solutions within the business and support users in adoption and best practices
• Contribute to IT and Agile project activities, including planning, execution, and continuous improvement
• Support procurement-related tasks such as vendor evaluation, cost tracking, and license or subscription management
• Continuously track digital advancements (e.g., n8n, AI use cases) and provide the team with timely updates and insights

Your profile

• Technical education (HTL, FH, University) or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in application management, IT product ownership, or a similar role
• Strong understanding of business processes with the ability to document complex requirements clearly
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience facilitating meetings with distributed or remote teams
• Knowledge of API integrations, including REST, authentication concepts, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and Jira
• Awareness of budgets and cost structures, including tracking, licensing, and subscriptions
• Experience in vendor management and cross-functional coordination
• Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Resilient, proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative
