Configuration Operative

Definition of Role:

Are you prepared to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced IT environment? We are looking for a dedicated Configuration Operative to join our IT and Warehouse departments, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the flow of operations and meeting customer demands. In this role, you will be involved in installing and configuring Mobile Device Management (MDM) software, as well as installing mobile phone applications, conducting phone testing and carrying out software upgrades. Additionally, you will be responsible for picking and packing devices, QA, as well as managing stock movement, among other tasks in the warehouse. This is not a remote position.

Overall, Purpose of the Role:

Ensuring the correct and efficient installation of MDM (Mobile Device Management) software and include picking/packing/QA of devices, fulfilment & stock movement.

Key Responsibilities:

General and Task Management

1. Goods Handling and Inventory:

· Receive and inspect deliveries, ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards.

· Check for damaged or missing items.

· Store goods appropriately.

· Pick and pack orders for dispatch.

· Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck.

· Load goods for dispatch.

· Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines.

· Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system.

· Keep accurate stock records.

· Carry out stock counts as and when required.

· Keep paperwork up to date.

· Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.

· Inventory management- WMS, including stock audits, accurate reporting, and physical stock movements.

· Stock ordering and management of Configuration Centre consumables.

2. Data Management:

· Accurately input data regarding goods processed into the computerized system.

· Maintain accurate stock records.

· Keep paperwork up to date.

· Conduct stock counts as needed.

3. Safety and Efficiency:

· Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.

· Adhere to manual handling procedures.

· Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.

· Make recommendations for process efficiency and value addition.

4. Inventory Control:

· Manage inventory, including stock audits and accurate reporting.

· Maintain good relations with vendors.

· Handle stock ordering and Configuration Centre consumables.

· Promote continual improvement within the inventory control operation.

5. Installation:

· MDM (Mobile Device Management) installation.

· Ensure accurate loading of software in accordance with production standards.

· Handling goods appropriately.

· Accurate inputting data regarding goods processed into a computerised system.

· Keep accurate stock records and paperwork up to date.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

1. Education:

· Minimum qualification: Secondary school diploma (with maturity certificate or equivalent)

· Additional training will be undertaken on the job

2. Skills and Awareness:

·Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including PowerPoint and intermediate–advanced Excel; Power BI experience is an advantage.

· English minimum B2 (Intermediate) required

· German minimum B2 (Intermediate) level required, or not necessary if additional relevant skills or experience are provided.

3. Optional Certifications is an advantage, but not essential:
