Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in
the automotive industry, we develop, test and industrialize innovative Lithium-Ion Battery packs for
hybrid and electric vehicles.

The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz.

Your core responsibilities are:
  • Explore, innovate, and validate cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of mobility
  • Develop innovative concepts for next-generation battery systems
  • Perform 3D thermal simulation (FE/CFD) of cooling systems for automotive batteries
  • Calculate gas release behavior of battery cells and its impact on the overall system
  • Develop models for thermodynamic systems
What you need is:
  • Completed technical degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, energy technology, physics)
  • Experience in the thermal design of components
  • Software skills for thermodynamic calculations (mostly in 3D), e.g. STAR-CCM+, Ansys Fluent, Matlab, Python
  • Self-motivated, curious and driven by impact
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams
  • German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory

With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (full time/38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR

We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
