Opportunity to embed security into every stage of the SDLC-a true security-by-design role. Your new company We're working exclusively with a global technology leader that is in the final stages of a major engineering transformation program. This initiative is modernising secure environments for advanced engineering disciplines and embedding cutting-edge DevSecOps practices.This is a 6-month contract (with potential extension), requiring NV1 security clearance, and open to candidates based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. Your new role As a DevSecOps Engineer, you'll design, implement, validate, and support a suite of engineering tools for mechanical, electrical, and chemical disciplines. Your work will include: Deploying applications into a containerised environment (VMware Tanzu) or traditional Dell infrastructure. Building secure CI/CD pipelines and integrating Infrastructure as Code practices. Troubleshooting and resolving issues across the engineering tool suite. Collaborating with IS/IT teams and engineering stakeholders to align local needs with global standards. Documenting processes and maintaining compliance with security best practices. You'll be part of a collaborative team driving innovation and resilience in a mission-critical environment. What you'll need to succeed NV1 security clearance (mandatory) Strong experience with Linux (RHEL) and scripting (Python, Bash, Perl) Hands-on knowledge of containerisation (Kubernetes/Tanzu) and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) Familiarity with engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Altair) is advantageous Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with strong security integration Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and DevSecOps principles Excellent documentation and stakeholder engagement skills What you'll get in return Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension and competitive rates A collaborative culture that values innovation, autonomy, and delivery excellence Opportunity to contribute to a high-profile engineering transformation program Flexible work locations and the chance to work across software and hardware engineering domains What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
