Your Role: Transport Planner – Italy or France Export (m/f/d)
Are you familiar with the day-to-day challenges of international transport logistics? Can you maintain an overview even during periods of high workload, and do you understand what it takes to ensure efficient, cost-effective and reliable transport planning?
Then we are looking for you to take responsibility for the planning, coordination and execution of our export shipments to Italy.
In this role, you will play a key part in our operational transport organisation, ensuring that shipments are handled efficiently, delivered on time and managed with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
We are looking for an experienced professional who combines operational expertise with commercial awareness, makes independent decisions and actively contributes to the continuous improvement of our transport operations.
Your Responsibilities
• Independent Transport Planning: Plan, organise and manage our export transports to Italy, taking into account capacities, transit times, costs and customer requirements.
• Transport Planning and Freight Procurement: Select suitable transport partners, obtain and evaluate quotations, and allocate transport orders in a cost-effective manner.
• Partner and Network Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with carriers, subcontractors, business partners and customers.
• Operational Transport Management: Monitor ongoing shipments, ensure agreed delivery schedules are met and proactively coordinate solutions in the event of delays, capacity shortages or last-minute changes.
• Customer Service: Act as a competent point of contact for customers regarding operational matters, transport enquiries and individual logistics requirements.
• Communication and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, international partners and other relevant departments.
• Cost and Quality Control: Monitor transport costs, review relevant invoices and ensure consistently high service quality.
• Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to improve transport planning and actively contribute to the further development of our Italy transport operations.
• Documentation and System Management: Ensure accurate order processing and maintain relevant transport data in our systems.

Your Profile
• Several years of professional experience in freight forwarding and transport logistics, ideally in the planning and coordination of international road transport.
• Sound knowledge of Italian export transport or comparable European transport routes.
• Good market knowledge and an established network of transport partners would be an advantage.
• Strong commercial understanding and confidence in handling transport costs, freight rates and business-related calculations.
• An independent, structured and solution-oriented working style, combined with a high level of personal responsibility.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to set priorities effectively, even when managing high shipment volumes.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a professional approach towards customers and business partners.
• Very good German language skills; Italian language skills are a significant advantage. Good English skills are essential for working within our international group.
• Confident user of MS Office and common transport management systems.
