Opportunity As a Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering fair, efficient and customer‑centric end‑to‑end claims management across a diverse portfolio. You’ll work closely with brokers, assessors and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of claims, contributing to Rural Affinity’s vision of being “the obvious choice” for our partners. This role offers meaningful scope to develop your technical capability, enhance your knowledge of policy interpretation, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. What You’ll Be Doing Managing end-to-end claims with fairness, efficiency and a strong customer service focus. Conducting thorough investigation and information gathering to support sound decision‑making. Interpreting policy coverage accurately and confidently. Managing claim costs in line with policy coverage, limits and delegated authority. Maintaining comprehensive and well‑documented electronic claim files. Identifying and mitigating potential fraud risks. Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, service providers and internal stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, GICOP and Claims Guidelines. Communicating clearly, concisely and professionally across all touchpoints. Collaborating cross‑functionally with underwriting, finance, compliance and broker management teams to support efficient claims fulfilment. Committing to ongoing personal and professional development. What You Bring Minimum 2 years 3–5+ years’ experience in insurance claims handling across a range of general insurance products. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with sound judgement. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Good working knowledge of industry trends, risks and regulatory requirements. The ability to balance detail with efficiency, ensuring positive customer outcomes. A commitment to ethical decision‑making and regulatory compliance. Relevant qualifications are highly regarded.
