Purpose of the role The role will ensure value is added to the company by applying actuarial principles to provide advice on important business decisions and liability valuations with a focus on reserving. Key priorities Support preparation of annual actuarial valuation and financial condition reports. Manage monthly liability valuations and contribute to statutory reporting. Assist with year‑end assumptions, financial accounts and audits. Maintain IFRS 17 financial journals. Identify opportunities to improve reserving and reporting processes. Review CTP claims development and provide portfolio insights. Collaborate with Claims, Pricing, Underwriting and Finance teams. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and risk management practices. Contribute to the Actuarial Control Cycle with technical and peer reviews. Deliver ad‑hoc analysis and reporting as required. About you Experience & Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or a related field. Progress towards Actuary qualification (Institute of Actuaries or equivalent). Minimum 3 years actuarial experience in general insurance, ideally reserving. Strong analytical problem‑solving and Excel skills. Knowledge of IFRS 17 regulatory frameworks and actuarial standards. Programming skills (SQL or similar desirable). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proactive and adaptable team player with strong attention to detail, time management, integrity and commitment to ongoing development. Ways of working Youi offers a hybrid model: in‑office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
