Coal Technician

Job Description We’re looking for a Coal Technician to join us in a permanent, full-time role in Paget, QLD.You’ll be responsible for preparing and analysing coal samples, helping ensure accurate, high-quality results that meet international standards. Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to: Provide and maintain high quality, accurate and timely work. Perform duties of all routine shipping and exploration project sampling, preparation and analysis. Ensureeveryone is aware of the safety environment. Assisting with preventative maintenance and calibration of preparation equipment. Prioritisation of urgent samples and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Operation of analytical, manual analytical and preparation equipment. Compliance with analytical methods, procedures and SGS Quality Systems. Contributing to a safe workplace by conducting risk assessments, addressing hazards, and implementing improvements. Maintain a high standard of general housekeeping. Qualifications We are seeking candidates who come from a fast-paced background. The successful candidate will possess the following: Coal sampling, preparation and testing experience preferred, but not essential. Good computer skills,Excel proficiency beneficial and previous experience with data management programs (highly regarded). Previous experience in general mineral laboratory environment preferred, but not essential. Ability to work on rotating shiftsincluding day/night/afternoon and weekends.
