We are currently offering an exciting opportunity in Sydney for an experienced Environmental Scientist to join the Contaminated Land Assessment and Remediation Section. Responsibilities Planning and execution of field sampling programs involving sampling of soils, sediments, surface water and groundwater. Collation, analysis and interpretation of laboratory analytical results and other environmental data, including comparison against defined assessment criteria. Preparation of contamination assessment reports with support from relevant team members, requiring research and review of technical / scientific documents. Assist with the preparation of proposal documents and other business development activities. Collaborating with other Sections to help deliver successful project outcomes for our clients. Communicate capacity and actively seek out work from colleagues. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Sciences or an equivalent qualification with extensive professional or consultancy experience. Work experience in consulting, particularly within contaminated land assessment or prior involvement in preparing technical reports. An appreciation of other environmental consultancy disciplines such as ecology, hydrogeology, hydrology, soil science and cultural heritage. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, and familiarity with videoconferencing practices. Strong attention to detail and an appetite to learn and develop technical skills relevant to contaminated land assessment.
